Air India crash: Married couple feared to be among those killed

A British couple believed to have been aboard the crashed Air India flight posted about their "magical experience” in the country.

Fiongal and Jamie Greenlaw-Meek, who run a spiritual wellness centre and yoga studio, spoke of their love of India and the “mind-blowing” experiences they had had just hours before the flight took off. In what is believed to be their final video, they wore floral shirts and appeared excited and cheerful ahead of their flight. The couple who are based in London had been on a holiday in India and had previously made appearances on ITV's This Morning to showcase their wellness brand. Just after leaving the airport, the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner was engulfed in flames after plummeting into a building in the suburb of Ahmedabad, the largest city in Gujarat state.

Paying tribute on his Instagram account, This Morning's Martin Frizell said: "So so sad to hear that Fiongal Greenlaw Meek and his partner are reported to be among the passengers and crew killed today on board the Air India flight bound for Gatwick. "I remember his visit to the studio in January, he was passionate about auras and although I’m a sceptical sort his vibrancy and sheer enthusiasm won folk over.

Ramsgate Pride, which was set to host the couple at its event on Saturday, said in a social media post: "We are absolutely heartbroken to announce that The Wellness Foundry Workshops will no longer be taking place at our Pride event due to the sudden and devastating loss of Jamie and Fiongal in the Air India Flight. “Our thoughts are with their loved ones at this tragic time. If anybody needs support, please do reach out.”
